In 2012, Groundwork Portland began to expand its environmental justice work to urban waters-related issues.
- First, the organization coordinated a Service Project with the Muslim Community Center of Portland and others for the International River Rally conference.
- Groundwork Portland’s Green Teams completed projects that contribute to restoring urban water and soil.
- Groundwork Portland’s coordination of and involvement with the Portland Harbor Community Coalition.
